My mom died.

My mom went to Heaven last night. She is with her Father and will be with him forever. I'm thankful for the 21 years and 2 weeks I had with her. She was the best mom I could ask for, very demonstrating of God's love. I loved her and know I'll see her again. Any prayers are coveted and appreciated.

Over and over..

I saw Prince Caspian on Friday. I wanted to cry, but I didn't.  After dealing with goodbyes for the summer and forever, for some people, I watched the movie. Probably not the best choice, but the song in the end by Regina Spektor has been in my head for the past few days and has comforted me.

I think I've finished everything for my trip to europe. I even have my backpack, daypack and pillowcase packed. All I need to do is put on my clothes sunday morning for the plane, pack a fleece blanked, put my camera around my neck, and then my four weeks of Europe bliss are ready! well, after driving to nashville and flying to Detroit and over the Atlantic, I'll be there, touching ancient soil that's new to me but not to others.

Then to camp again this summer. And then I'm planning a beach trip with a friend after that. What a great summer I'll have!

four days and counting. Sure beats sleeping in my car.

In dreamland..

I would speak Portuguese again.

Vendors would sell jars on high shelves with no exchange of money.

Street lamps would illuminate every other stall.

Tungsten yellow.

If you left your stall for a delivery, neighbors would pick away, little by little, as quickly as possible, the best jars of crab legs.

When I tried to help out, she tried to dent my face. I might leave that place by dodging that can of garbanzo beans into my hoodie, shooting it back at her.

If life was like my dream..

My mother's best friend's name would be Tiffany.

My face muscles would've fallen off like beef jerky from under my skin on half my face.

The muscles that make up my cheek would've fallen like tiny metal balls on the floor making it hard for me to puff my cheeks, but talking would not be a problem.

I would be right beside a lake almost always.

When attempting to waterboard, the boat driver would go before I said go, so I would have to do it barefoot, while people were holding on to me. Then I would let go after getting up and be in the water over my head. I'd choke and when I magically appeared on land, hairball-like pointy things would be in my throat, making me vomit them up.

Some guy would catch me, as an invalid, while being lowered by a rope attached to a camera lens.

Tiffany would've taken the costumes from Chicago back in Europe a few years back.

Boating would be a common way to get around, and if you're angry, you just bump their boat, but make sure you don't do it so someone will be injured.

Playground parks turn into lakes.

I would meet the new guys, and they would all look like highschoolers or young teenagers, when they're supposed to be college students.

Then I would wake up on top of my arm, and it would be asleep.

Once upon a time..

a tornado beat my car up, and I didn't have a car for about .. weeks. Then I went to michigan on a train to get my grandpa's car. then i wanted to go to canada, and chicago, and detroit.

maybe that story will happen next week some time.

Ps. the car was $1.
